FINUCANE - BARTLETT.

On Tuesday afternoon St. Patrick's Church, Wellington, was the scene of a wedding (solemnised by Monsignor Long), the lady and gentleman who entered into the solemn obligations of matrimony being Miss Elsie May Bartlett, eldest daughter of thelate Mr. and Mrs. John Bartlett, of Merrendee, and Mr. Thomas Finucane, second son of Mr. and Mrs. John Finucane, of Twelve Mile. Miss Rose Ethel Bartlett, sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid, while the bridegroom was attended by his bRother, Mr. William Finucane. The bride was attired in cream marquisette, trimmed with insertion and silk applique, and wore the customary wreath and veil. The bridesmaid wore cream voile, and hat of white velvet, and each of the young ladies carried a bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a handsome gold bangle, while her offering to him was a nice shaving set. After a light repast at Hallam's Railway Hotel, and the felicitations of their friends, the young couple left by the train for Sydney, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's going away dress was grey satin cloth, trimmed with black braid and buttons, with black hat and white feathers. The death occurred at Wongarbon on Friday of John Finucane, for many years a resident of Twelve Mile. Deceased was highly esteemed and respected in this district. His father the late John Finucane, sen., was at one time the owner of Oakfield, Mudgee now the property of Mr. A. I. Cox. The following sons survive Thomas, (Yamble) Vivian (Two Mile Flat) Ernest (Wongarbon) and Vincent, and is also survived by the following daughters., Mrs Gardiner, Misses Sarah and Cissie Finucane, of Wongarbon. SARAH FINUCANE -

The death occurred at Wongarbon yesterday of Sarah Finucane (79), an old and highly respected resident of that, district. Deceased, who was a native of Windsor, was predeceased, her husband some years ago. She is survived by six sons and threedaughters, who have the sympathy of a very large circle of friends in their bereavement. The sons are: - John Henry, Thomas, Vincent James, William, Leo and Daniel; the daughters, Mesdames Thorley, Lynch and Sarah Finucane. The funeral will movefrom the Catholic Church Wongarbon, at 9.45 tomorrow for interment in the Wongarbon cemetery. Rev. Monsignor O'Donnell will officiate at the graveside, and Mr. E. OBITUARY

MR. D. FINUCANE

The death occurred on Sunday at Wongarbon of Daniel Finucane, 65. Mr. Finucane was born at Mudgee and married Irene Gabriel Lahy in Wellington at the age of 27. He is survived by his widow and daughter, Marie Therese (Mrs. Ossie Smith, ofWongarbon). After a service at St. Brigid's Church the funeral moved to the Catholic section of the Dubbo cemetery. Services were conducted by the Rev. Fr. Smith. Messrs. W. Larcombe and Son were in charge of the arrangements. (Dubbo Liberal and Macquarie Advocate Tuesday 8 December 1953, p. 3).
