The death took place at Coonabarabran Hospital recently of Miss Flo rence Milligan, of Hidden Valley, Binnaway Road at the age of 18 years . It appears that the deceased was suffering from a stye, which caused c onsiderable pain. One daylast week a shearer had killed a sheep, and ha d washed his hands in a basin of water, and the inflammation being ver y painful, the young girl dipped a towel in the same water shortly afte r and wiped her eye. As the afflicted eye got worse, her father took he r to Coonabarabran, to consult a doctor, who ordered her immediate admit tance to the hospital, where, after diagnosing the eye, it was found blo od poison had set in, which extended to her body. The funeral was very l argelyattended, the remains being interred in the C E portion of the Co onabarabran Cemetery. Rev J H S Oldham officiated at the graveside. Th e late Miss Milligan was practically her father's right hand, as she kep t his books and aNew South Walesered allcorrespondence, besides helping on the farm . A very touching and pathetic scene took place at the graveside. Just a s the coffin had been lowered, the father, who up till then had kept hi s feelings well under control, stepped forward, andkneeling down, offer ed up a short, heartrending prayer, and then completely broke down. Mr M illigan and his family have the sympathy of their many friends in this s ad bereavement.
