SUICIDE AT RYLSTONE.

A sad event occurred here yesterday in the death by self-destruction of an old resident, Mr. G. S. Hall, sen., aged 80 years. The deceased was for a longtime proprietor of a hotel in this place, but through reverses in circumstances has lately been in a despondent state, and had given hints of his intention. Early yesterday morning he was found just in the act of cutting his throat. The attempt, however, was successful, and he expired almost immediately. An inquest was held to-day, and a verdict of suicide whilst in an unsound state of mind was returned.
