Marriage of a child | Abel W Cook — Ann E Bisby — View this family 1909 PORTLAND. (From our own Correspondent.) On Wednesday night last a quiet wedding ceremony was conducted by the Rev. B. Hobson, in the Portland Methodist parsonage, the contracting parties being. Mr. A. W. Cook, of Portland, and Miss A. E. Bisby, daughter of Mr. W. Bisby, of Mudgee. The bride was becomingly attired, as was also the bridesmaid, Miss E. F. Roy. Mr. C. Case was best man. Death of a husband | Walter Bisby 9 June 1921 Deaths. MR. WALTER BISBY. The death occurred at his residence, Market Street, West End, Mudgee, on Thursday last of Mr. Walter Bisby, one of the most highly respected and esteemed residents of Mudgee, aged 57, after an illness of over ten months. The deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Bisby, of Mudgee. He was a native of the district of Raymond Terrace, and came to Mudgee district about 47 years ago. He was a faithful employee of the Cudgegong Council for the past 20 years as a maintenance man. The deceased was twice married. His first wife was Miss Lucy Batchelor, daughter of the late Mr. Reuben Batchelor, of Mudgee, and his second and surviving wife was a Miss Randall, of Mudgee. Five children survive him by the first marriage and two by the second. They are as follows. - Walter (Mudgee), George (Portland), Mrs. J. Coxhead (Sydney), Mrs. Cook (North Coast), Mrs. G. Fuller (Mudgee), Reginald and Doy. He is also survived by the following bers and sisters: - Henry (Mudgee), Arthur (Sydney), Owen (Sydney), William (Queensland) and Miss Sarah Ann Bisby (Kogarah). The remains were interred in the Methodist portion of the General Cemetery on Friday afternoon. Revs. Bostock Jones and S. A. Faulkner officiated at the graveside. Mr J. C. Death of a son | Walter R Bisby 31 July 1924 WALTER BISBY. News was received in town on Friday that Walter Bisby, of Mudgee, had passed away in Sydney Hospital on Thursday, after undergoing an operation. The remains were interred in a metropolitan cemetery.
