BLACKMAN. - September 9, at his residence, Blackwood Valley, Cooyal Creek, Thomas Blackman, the second eldest son of the late James Blackman, senior, of Mudgee, after a long and painful illness, in his 61st year, leaving a wife and eight children to mourn their loss. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Mrs. Fred Stahl

MRS. Fred Stahl, of Mortimer street west, Mudgee, passed away on Tuesday after a short illness at the age of 68. The late Mrs. Stahl was born at Cooyal, and was a member of the well-known Blackman family, pioneers of that district. She had lived in the Mudgee district all her life, and was held in very high esteem. Her passing will be the cause of deep and widespread regret. She is survived by a husband and one son, Fred (Kandos), Mesdames Thomas Ward (Auburn) and John Green snr, (Mudgee) are sisters, and Thomas, James and Charles (Cooyal) are bers. The funeral was held yesterday in the Catholic portion of the Mudgee Cemetery, after a service had been conducted in St. Mary's Church by Rev. Fr. O'Byrne, who also officiated at the graveside.
