PERSONAL Mr. W. J. Puddicombe, whose death at Hurlstone Park, Sydney, on Wednesday was reported in yesterday's issue, was a foundation member of the Grafton Bowling Club and a life member of the Mechanics Institute, president of the Rifle Club and of the Parents' Association, and a foundation member of the Chamber of Commerce. He was also identified with various public associations at Hurlstone Park and with the Y.M.C.A. and was well-known in Masonic circles. He is survived by a widow, six daughters and two sons. PUDDICOMBE The death occurred at Hurlstone Park on Wednesday of Mr. William James Puddicombe, a well-known resident. Born in Wales 58 years ago, he came to New South Wales at an early age. He was an accountant in Grafton for many years. Later he took up his residence at Haberfield and at Hurlstone Park, and for some years was accountant to J. Gadsden, Ltd. At Grafton Mr. Puddicombe was a foundation member of the Bowling Club, and a life member of the Mechanics' Institute, president of the Rifle Club and of the Parents and Citizens' Association, a foundation member of the Chamber of Commerce, and a local government auditor for nearly 20 years. He was also identified with various public associations at Hurlstone Park and with the Y.M.C.A., and was well known in Masonic circles. He is survived by a widow, six daughters and two sons.
