Death of a maternal grandmother | Hannah Burton 1912 (aged 37 years) The Great Call. Another Old Pioneer Gone. Another old and respected resident in the person of Mrs. Hannah Nurden has been claimed by death. Deceased was 88 years of age. She was born at Macquarie Plains, near Bathurst, and has been in the Mudgee district for the past 70 years, the last 54 years of which were spent at Trefoil. She was twice married. Her first husband was the late Mr. Thomas Milton, by whom she had 10 children. Seven years ago, her second husband, the late Mr. Edwin Nurden, died. Four children resulted from this marriage. Deceased leaves 10 children, 104 grandchildren, 188 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren to mourn. The remains will be interred in the Mudgee cemetery tomorrow. Death of a paternal grandmother | Mary Ann Kennedy 5 June 1918 (aged 43 years) Age: 88 Death at Lue. The death took place at Lue yesterday afternoon of Mrs. Mary Ann Potts, aged 88 years. The cause of death was bronchitis. Deceased was a very old resident of the district, and leaves a family of four and six daughters, they being William, (Pipeclay), Sloper (Avisford), Robert (Wall's Siding), James (Cullen Bullen), Mrs. O'Neil (Wee Waa), Mrs. Welch (Auburn), Mrs. Campbell (Auburn), Mrs. Ryan (Havilah), Mrs. Walsh (Havilah), Mrs. Horne (Lithgow). Deceased lady's husband predeceased her by about 12 years. The funeral will take place at Lue tomorrow (Friday) afternoon under the direction of Mr. H. Barton, of Mudgee. Death of a father | William Potts 10 March 1931 (aged 56 years) WILLIAM POTTS The death occurred at Braeholme private hospital on March 12 of an old and highly respected Resident of Botobolar, Mr. William Potts, aged 82 years. Deceased who had been a resident of Botobolar for forty-five years and leaves a sorrowing widowand the following sons and daughters to mourn their loss: - William (Wellington), Frederick (Botobolar), Arthur, Leslie, Valentine, (Mudgee), Robert (Gulgong), Roy (Charbon), Thomas (Lue), Warran (Bara, Lue), Mesdames W. Perry (Kandos), F. Harris (Sydney), L. Jones (Kandos). The funeral took place yesterday morning at 10.30 a.m. the cortege leaving St. John's Church of England, for the general cemetery. The Rev. Death of a mother | Harriet Milton 9 February 1936 (aged 61 years) DEATHS Mrs. Harriet Potts MRS. Harriet Potts, widow of the late Mr. William Potts, who died five years ago, passed away at the residence of her son, Mr. Leslie Potts, of Inglis-street, Mudgee, on Saturday morning, at the age of 81. The late Mrs. Potts had been living in Mudgee for only a short time and had been in ill health since Christmas. For the greater part of her life had lived at Bara, her birthplace, of which she was one of the most popular and highly respected residents, and her death will cause deep regret throughout that district, and indeed, in many other parts of the Mudgee district. Mrs. Potts is survived by eight sons and three daughters. The sons are Herb (Wellington), Bob (Canadian), Tom (Pipeclay), Leslie(Mudgee), Roy (Kandos), Fred (Bara), Arthur (Mudgee) and Warren (Havilah). Mesdames Bill Perry (Lithgow), Luke Jones (Kandos district) and Mrs. Fred Harris (Auburn) are the daughters. Mrs. Charles Wilson, formerly of Trefoil, and now of Mudgee, is a sister, and Mr.Henry Milton, of Cudgegong, is a ber. The Misses Nurden, of Mudgee, are stepsisters. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, interment being made in the Church of England portion of the Mudgee Cemetery. Rev. L. C. S.
