CLEMENT - TATTERSALL.

The marriage of Mr. Leonard Clement, of Lithgow, and Miss Florence Tattersall, of Gulgong, took place at St. John's Catholic Church, Gulgong, last week. Mr. G. Ellery acted as best man, and Miss E. Tattersall was bridesmaid.

Mr. John Tattersall

ON Christmas Day Mr. John Tattersall passed away at the Gulgong District Hospital, aged 73 years. Deceased was admitted to the hospital on the previous Thursday. He was a native of Reedy Creek, Gulgong, and had lived in the district all his life. He was a good worker, having followed various pursuits, practically all connected with stations and the land. He was highly respected and had many friends. The funeral left his residence, Avondale, Guntawang road, for the Church of England portion of the Gulgong cemetery, the Rev. L. V. Caldwell officiating at the graveside. Mr. R. S. Bayliss carried out the arrangements. A widow and the following family are left to mourn their loss: Mrs. James Halloran (Biraganbil, Gulgong); Mrs. A. C. Viles (Lithgow); Mrs. L. Clement (Lithgow); Mr. Eric Tattersall (Gulgong); Mr. Ronald Tattersall (Gulgong). The following are brothers Messrs. Chas. Tattersall; Richard Tattersall, William Tattersall (Gulgong), and George Tattersall (Binnaway). Our sympathy is extended.

DEATH

The death occurred on Saturday last, in the Gulgong District Hospital, of Mr. Joseph Pickering, at the age of 75 years. The funeral took place in the Church of England portion of the Gulgong Cemetery on Sunday afternoon, and was conducted by Rev. R. Douglas.

Death of Old Gulgong Resident

The death took place at the Gulgong District Hospital on Sunday morning last of Mrs. J. Pickering, at the age of 74 years. Mrs. Pickering who had not been in the best of health for some considerable time, had been for the last year or so, resident with her son, Mr. Ron Tattersall, and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Tattersall, in Tallawang Road, Gulgong. During this time Mrs. Tattersall showed very devoted service to her mother-in-law. Born in Gulgong, deceased, who was a member of the well known Bennett family of Reedy Creek, married early in life, and spent most of her early married life with her husband at Yamble, where he was employed by Mr. Rouse, of Biraganbil. Her married life with Mr. Tattersall was terminated by his death some 10 years ago, and some three or four years ago she married Mr. J. Pickering, who predeceased her by about 12 months. The following sons and daughters are left to mourn, viz., Mr. Eric and Mr. Ron Tattersall (both of Gulgong), Mrs. James Halloran (Edie, Molong), Mrs. Charles Viles (Tillie, Enfield), Mrs. Clemens (Florrie, Lithgow). Messrs. Jim Bennett (Orange), Charles Bennett (Gulgong), Sam Bennett (Gulgong) and George Bennett (Gunnedah) are brothers, and Mesdames H. Dawson (Wollongong) and H. Mathews (Warrobil) are sisters of deceased. The funeral, which took place at 3 p.m. on Monday last, was conducted by Motor Funerals, while Rev. Ellis officiated at the graveside. The sympathy of the Gulgong "Advertiser" is extended.
