Note: Death of Mr. H. Cameron, J.P.

Death of Mr. H. Cameron, J.P. A very old and respected resident of this district, in the person of Mr Hugh Cameron, of Munghorn, passed away on Friday last at the age of 58. The late Mr Cameron, who was a justice of the peace, was a native of Victoria, but, at an early date, came to this State and went on the land, and later commenced business as an auctioneer at Rylstone. He was considered one of the smartest auctioneers in the State, but about four years ago he became a victim to chronic rheumatism, and has ever since been an invalid. He was lately a resident of Cooyal and Munghorn, and on Sunday last his remains were interred at the former place, the cortege being followed to the grave by a large number of the residents. He leaves a wife (the daughter of Mr W. Keech of Camboon), and one son and daughter, for whom much sympathy is felt (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 21 November 1907, p. 13).
