A pretty wedding took place recently in the Methodist Church, Linsdale, when DoRothy Madge, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. White, of Lidsdale, was married to James Lancelot, third son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Bird, of Kandos. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. Coleman, of Lithgow, and there were many friends present. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her bRother, Lionel, looked charming in white brocaded morocain, with pearl trimmings and wore the customary wreath and veil, kindly loaned by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Lionel White. She was attended by two brides-maids, Misses Amy White (sister of the bride) and Miss Ilma Hill, who were frocked in pale pink with hats to match. Mr. Jas. White, bRother of the bride, was best man, and Mrs. ?lare presided at the organ. Immediately after the ceremony, the bride's mother received the guests in a spacious room kindly loaned by Mrs. Gordon, where the usual toasts were honored. The table was nicely arranged by Mrs. R. Cunyngham and Miss Vera Nolan. Over 50 guests were present. The Rev. Mr. Coleman presided. At 7 p.m. the guests assembled again, and dancing was the order until midnight, when the happy couple left by train for Sydney, where the honeymoon was spent. The bride travelled in a grey costume, with hat to match. The presents were very numerous and included many cheques. Mr. and Mrs. Bird will live in Lidsdale.
