Gardenias, bouvardia, and Cecil Brunner roses were the flowers in, the bouquet. Only daughter of Mrs. Nevell, of Fairfield, and the late Mr. Warwick Nevell, formerly of Rylstone, the bride was attended by Miss Lynette Hatch, wearing turquoise crepe, and flower girl, DoRothy Hannaford, niece of the bridegroom, who wore pale pink embroidered organdie. They carried shaded Talisman roses to match their head-dresses. Mr. Tom Richardson was best man. The posy of miniature lilies which the bride's mother pinned on her Air Force blue beaded frock, were flown from Melbourne. She was assisted in receiving eighty guests at Hiawatha, by the bridegroom's mother who wore ice blue moss crepe. Unusual Swan Lake icing decorated the three tier cake, made by the bridesmaid's mother, Mrs. Hatch (Cumberland Argus and Fruitgrowers Advocate, Wednesday 23 February 1949, page 6). |

KATHLEEN NEVELL An elderly resident of Rylstone, Mrs. Kathleen Nevell, aged 87 years, died at her home, 'Riversdale', on Monday last. The late Mrs. Nevell, whose home had been at "Riversdale" for many years, leaves a family of three daughters. The remains were taken to Sydney for cremation at Rookwood today (Thursday).
