Obituary Notice Don Mills - a fine builder The funeral was held yesterday at St. John's Anglican Church, Mudgee, of well-known local builder Don Mills. Donald Mervyn Mills passed away at the age of 60 on July 2, at Sydney's Prince Alfred Hospital. He is survived by his wife Dixie, and daughter Chris Read, son-in-law Malcolm, sisters Win Halpin of Mudgee and Margaret Tunks. As a child Don Mills lived at 'Glenorie' and was educated in Mudgee. As a young man he was apprenticed to the firm of George Knight and Co., Carpentry and Joinery, Perry Street, Mudgee, becoming himself a Mudgee builder. Later he owned and operate a granite quarry at Frog Rock. Don's hobbies were working as a gunsmith and gardening. He had a very large and beautiful collection of cacti.
