DEATHS Mr. B. Cottee The death occurred in the Mudgee Hospital on Sunday of Mr. Benjamin Cottee at the advanced age of 85 years. Deceased resided at Mudgee South for a very lengthy period, and was held in high esteem by a large circle of friends. He is survived by a widow and the following sons and daughter: Benjamin, Jack, James, Norman, William, and Mrs. E. Rayner. To the sorrowing ones deep sympathy is extended. The funeral will take place to the Church of England portion of the general cemetery tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, Messrs. J. C. Swords & Son being in charge of the arrangements. Deceased, who was 59, was on his way home from work when he collapsed and died. He had been a printer in Mudgee for 45 years, having lived here all his life, and at the time of his death worked on the Mudgee Mail. He is survived by his widow and daughter Dorothy (Mrs. Broughton), of Parkes. Four brothers, Bill, Jim, Ben and Norman, and two sisters Emmy (Mrs. Rayner) and Jean (Mrs. Faucett), survive him. Mrs. L. J. Cottee

The interment of Mrs. Lily Jane Cottee took place in the Mudgee general cemetery yesterday following a 3.30 p.m. service in the St. John’s Church of England, Mudgee. Mrs. Cottee died in the Mudgee District Hospital last Tuesday, aged 87. Formerly of Mudgee South, she had been in residence at the Pioneer House for two years. Her husband, Benjamin predeceased her and she is survived by her six children, Benjamin, William, James, Norman, Emily Ann and Lily Jean.
