Mr. William Barton (bRother of the bride was best man. After the wedding ceremony the party motored to the home of the bride’s parents, where the usual toasts were honored. G. J. Allen, of Gulgong, married John, son of Mrs. McCabe and the late Mr. William McCabe, Ulan, and Charlotte Jane, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Haynes, Cook's Gap. The bride was charmingly gowned in white georgette, trimmed with beautiful silver beads. She wore a lovely wreath and veil. The bridegroom's sister, Miss Maisie McCabe, made a charm-ing bridesmaid in pale pink merle beaded in silver. She wore a white leghorn hat swathed in pink, and carried a bouquet of stocks with pink streamers. Miss Marie McCabe was also in attendance. Death of a husband | Joseph Henry Haynes 19 August 1943 (aged 67 years) Age: 75 Joseph Henry Haynes Mr. Joseph Henry Haynes, an old and respected resident of Cook's Gap, died at his home this morning, aged 75 years. He is survived by a widow and nine sons and daughters, to whom sincere sympathy is extended. The funeral will take place to the Church of England portion of the Ulan Cemetery tomorrow (Friday). Death Joseph Henry Haynes SAD PASSING Many regretted the passing of that grand old gentleman of Ulan, Mr. Joseph Henry Haynes, at the age of 75. Born at Maitland, as a youth he came to the Mudgee district, where later he married Miss Louisa Mary Large, of Linburn. He took up farming in the Ulan district, where he spent the rest of his life. By reason of his pleasing personality and love of home life his passing is deeply felt. He is survived by a widow, six sons and three daughters, viz., Messrs. Robert (Queensland), Tom (A M.F.), Norman (A.M.F.), Leslie (Linburn), Bert and Percy (Cassilis), Mesdames P. Soles (Cassilis), A. G. Byfield (Ulan), J. McCabe (Ulan), and four sisters, Mesdames J.
