Death of a husband | Henry Rayner 18 December 1947 DEATH Mr. Harry Rayner A very old and highly respected resident of Mudgee district, in the person of Mr. Harry Rayner, died this morning in the Mudgee District Hospital, at the age of 75 years. Deceased was a native of the district, being born at McDonald's Creek, and lived here all his life. He is survived by a sorrowing widow and the following children, viz., Mrs. Roberts (Hurstville), Clifford (Mortdale), Ernest (Lue), Eric (Mudgee), Clarence (Armed Forces, Japan), and Iva (Crow's Nest). Death of a son | Ivor Wilfred Rayner 19 April 1985 Obituary Ivan Rayner Well known stock and station agent and keen racehorse owner and breeder, Mr. Ivan Rayner, died in Mudgee Hospital on Friday, aged 66. Mr. Rayner had been suffering from a long illness and spent the last month of his life in the Mudgee Hospital. His funeral was held last Saturday and he was buried in Mudgee Cemetery. Mr. Rayner was a stock and station agent, who with his father opened one of the first agencies in Mudgee. The business was later taken over by Farmers and Graziers and Mr. Rayner then worked for them as the Mudgee agent until his retirement. He was also involved in Legacy being at one time President. Horse racing was one of his major interests and he involved himself in most aspects of it, being a breeder, owner and trainer.
