WALSH - HAYES The marriage of Miss Leila Hayes, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hayes, of Mt. Allen, Wentworth Falls, and Mr. M. J. Walsh, third son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Walsh, of Lue, was celebrated by the Rev. Father O'Farrell, at the Roman Catholic Church, Wentworth Falls, on March 30. The church was prettily decorated by the girl friends of the bride, who looked charming, and was given away by her father. She wore a gown of white crepe-de-chene, trimmed with hand-embroidery, seed pearls and French binding. She carried a shower of white flowers and asparagus fern, and wore a wreath and veil, lent by her cousin, and arranged in mob-cap style with orange blossom chaplet. The bride's bouquet and diamond knife brooch were the gifts of the bridegroom. The bridesmaid, Miss Rita Hayes, wore a dress of pink georgette and black picture hat. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations and stocks, tied with pink streamers which, with a gold Nellie Stewart bangle, were the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr. Jack Hayes, only brother of the bride, was best man. Afternoon tea was served at Mt. Allen, where a number of guests were entertained. The presents were numerous, and included several cheques. The bride's travelling dress was a dainty frock of grey crepe-de-chine, with hand embroidery and small grey hat to match. The happy couple left during the afternoon for Sydney, en route for the South Coast, their future home.
