Gudgeon, at last meeting of the Gulgong branch of C.W.A. The late Mrs. Gudgeon was the beloved president of the branch for 12 years and members very much mourn her passing. Mrs. Gudgeon was elected to office in February, 1947, following the death of another greatly beloved member, Miss A. Snelson. It is very much regretted by all members that the late Mrs. Gudgeon did not live to see the local C.W.A. building, now almost completed, officially opened. Letters of sympathy have been received by the Gulgong branch hon. Secretary (Miss Sylvia Williardt) from branches within Mudgee-Coolah group, all expressing the great loss of such a member to the association. Members are reminded of the annual conference of the Group to be held in the Memorial Hall on Tuesday, October 21, at 10 a.m. Anyone interested in the C.W.A. is cordially invited to be present. The local C.W.A. Baby Health Centre and Rest Room is almost completed and plans to officially open it will soon be made. |
