J. Woodhouse officiating. Messrs. Eastaugh and Carroll conducted the arrangements. Deaths Mr. A. J. Cross The death of Mr. Alfred John (“Bunny”) Cross in the Gulgong District Hospital recently removed a well known personality from our midst. Aged 78 years, the late Mr. Cross had resided either in the town or district for almost all his lifetime. He spent a few years in Muswellbrook, where he had relatives. “Bunny” Cross was a kindly, friendly person, of a quiet and unassuming nature. People in all walks of life had got to know him very well and to appreciate his personality. His wife predeceased him many years ago. He is survived by two sons, Messrs. Max Cross (Gulgong), and Darcy Cross (Leadville), and a brother, Mr. Jim Cross, of Fitzroy Street, to whom our sympathy is extended. The funeral took place to the Church of England portion of the Gulgong cemetery, Rev. John Woodhouse officiated. |
