Deceased spent most of his life in the Birriwa district carrying on farming pursuits before joining the Railways Department as a fettler and ganger. He was very highly regarded, being of a jovial nature and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved widow and their grown-up family viz. Olie Mrs. Len White, Ulamambri; Joyce Mrs. W. Gudgeon, Gulgong; Kathleen Mrs. Ted Lyons Gulgong; Colin Birriwa and Desmond and Barry Sydney. The funeral took place to the Gulgong cemetery on the Wednesday following a service at St. Luke’s Church of England conducted by Rev. John Woodhouse. |
