Death | 25 December 1957 (aged 64 years) Death Notice Mr. Albert James Copper, a well known Gulgong resident, died on December 25, and the funeral took place to the Church of England portion of the cemetery in that town on the 26th, Rev. J. Woodhouse officiating. Messrs. Eastaugh and Carroll carried out the arrangements. Death Notice Mr. A. J. Copper A native of the district, Mr. Albert James Copper, of Tallawang Street, was found dead in his bed on Christmas morning. Deceased was visited by his doctor the night before. He was 64 years of age and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred. Copper, of Two Mile Flat. He enlisted in the Infantry Division in the first World War. The late Mr. Copper had followed various occupations. He worked at a flour mill at Forbes; in Gulgong he was a chauffeur for the late Dr. McCreadie when there were few cars in the town, he went gold digging when prospects were a bit bright and he conducted an auctioneering business for some time. His wife and family, to whom sympathy is extended, left the town some years ago. The funeral took place to the Church of England portion of the Gulgong cemetery, Rev. J. D. Woodhouse officiating. |
