Divorce | 29 September 1927 IN DIVORCE. (Before Mr. Justice Davidson.) WHEELER v WHEELER. In this suit Gwendoline Ethel Wheeler (formerly Yarrington) petitioned for the dissolution of her marriage with Arthur Daniel Wheeler on the ground of his adultery with one, Ethel Lavinia Cummins, between December 1, 1925,and July 19, 1926, at Enfield, Redfern, and Petersham. The marriage took place on October 2, 1920, at Newtown, according to the rites of the Presbyterian Church. His Honor found the issues proved, and granted a decree nisi returnable in three months in favour of petitioner, for whom Mr. Hooke (instructed by Messrs. G. M. Laurence and Son) appeared. There was no appearance on behalf of respondent or of the woman named (Sydney Morning Herald, Thursday 29 September 1927, page 8). |
