The late Mr. Yarrington was a veteran of the Boer War, and took an active part in work on the home front in the 1918 War. He leaves a family of five sons and three daughters. Mr. Yarrington visited Ashlea on. several occasions in the years gone by (Wingham Chronicle and Manning River Observer, Friday 5 March 1943, page 2).
