DEATH OF MRS. JAMES BROWN. (From our Rylstone Correspondent.) It is with deep regret that I record the death of Mrs. James Brown, widow of the late James Brown, of Rylstone, which took place at her residence, Mudgee-street, Rylstone, on Sunday night last. The deceased lady was 81 years of age, a native of Sydney, having been born in O'Connell-street in the year 1818. She was a daughter of the late Thos. Bloodworth, of Sydney. The deceased leaves a grownup family of two sons and two daughters namely, Messrs. W. L. Brown (Mount Brace); A. A. Brown (Belbowery), Mrs. G. Howe (Rylstone), and Mrs. I. Cousens (Nulty. Bourke). The old lady was possessed of a wonderful memory and excellent eyesight, July 18, 1902 (Sydney Stock and Station Journal, Friday 25 July 1902, page 3).

OBITUARY Mrs. F. Howe IN the passing of Mrs. Fanny Howe, relict of the late George Howe, whose death occurred in Rylstone on Sunday, July 19, the district loses yet another of its old identities. Deceased was 77 years of age, and had resided here for the greater portion of her life. The funeral to the C.E. portion of the local cemetery on Tuesday morning was well attended, the service being conducted by the Rev. E. H. Pitcher (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 23 July 1936, page 8).
