| Death of a mother | Jane E Gawthorne 18 June 1925 (aged 51 years) Obituary LOCAL NEWS Old Resident Dead. - Mrs. Oram, widow of the late George Oram, died at the residence of her son, Mr. W. Norris, this morning, aged 77 years. Deceased was one of the oldest identities of the district, where she resided practically all her life. Her first husband was Mr. J. Norris, who died at Gulgong many years ago. At a later period she married Mr. G. Oram, a well known Mudgee farmer, who predeceased her by 12 years. A family of five sons and daughters are left to mourn, viz., Messrs. J. Norris (Gulgong), W. Norris (Mudgee), C. Norris (England), Mesdames C. Campton (Tucklan), and C. Dwyer (Dubbo). | Death of a wife | Ada May O'Connell 5 October 1941 (aged 67 years) DEATH Mrs. Ada M. Norris THE death occurred in the Gulgong District Hospital on Sunday morning of Mrs. Ada May Norris, wife of Mr. James C. Norris, of Mayne street, Gulgong. Deceased, who was 55 years of age, was a native of Rockley, but for many years had been a resident of Gulgong, where she was highly respected. Her fine nature won for her many friends. She was a home-loving woman who took a keen interest in her husband and family. After a church service, the funeral took place on Monday to the Catholic portion of the Gulgong cemetery, the Rev. Father Crowe officiating. Her widower and the following members of the family are left to mourn their loss: Misses Mary Norris (Melbourne), Avis Norris (Sydney), Mrs. K. Mason (Lithgow), Messrs. Allan Norris (Wollongong), John Norris (Wollongong), and a boy, Stanley (Gulgong). The following brothers and sisters survive: Messrs.
