Running Stream. WEDDING BELLS. CROFT - FREESTONE. At St. John's Church, Running Stream, on February 27, Rev. Chas. Riley celebrated the marriage of Alice Harriet, eldest daughter of Mr. Thos. Croft, of "Yallambee," Running Stream, and Francis George, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. King Freestone, of La Hogue, Capertee. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was attired in a champagne silk net frock over fugi - the net being shirred in apron effect, and finished with a silver spray. A lemon colored hat, adorned with silver, was also worn. A shower bouquet of mauve asters and asparagus fern, completed her toilet. Miss Ella Croft, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore a frock of sunset morocain and white hat, and carried a bouquet tied with sunset streamers. Mr. Reginald Cosier was best man. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Croft entertained about thirty guests in the Running Stream Hall. Amongst those present were: Mr. and Mrs. J. Freestone, Mrs. K. Freestone, Mr. and Mrs. A. Livingstone (Charbon), Mr. and Mrs. Easson (England), Mr. and Mrs. H. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. McAllister, Misses L. and E. Freestone, Miss Easson, and Mr. J. Easson. Rev. Chas. Riley, Mr. and Mrs. A. Mans-field, Mr. J. Doorey, Mr. Lyons (Sydney), Mr. A. Wicks (Glenorie). A number of very useful presents were received, amongst which were several cheques. Later the happy couple left for their future home at Bugaldi (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Monday 15 March 1926, page 22).
