Lett, of Belmore street, Gulgong) on Saturday last of Mrs. Sarah Shearman, aged 80, relict of the late Mr. George Shearman, of Mebul. The late Mrs. Shearman was born at Gollan, near Dubbo, and was married in Gulgong. Left to mourn are two sons and four daughters, one ber and one sister, viz: William Shearman (Mebul), Herb Shearman (Spring Ridge), Mrs. M. Gardiner (Mebul), Mrs. E. A. Talbot (Goolma), Mrs. C. R. Niven (Spring Ridge), Mrs. W. S. Lett (Gulgong). Mr. W. Skinner (Goolma), Mrs. S. Diehm (Goolma). Also surviving are 24 grand-children, 22 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, after a short service at St. Luke's Church of England, to the Church of England portion of the Gulgong cemetery, the remains being laid to rest near those of her late husband, who predeceased her about 16 years ago. The Rev. R. Douglas officiated. The funeral arrangements were in the hands of Mr. D. Whale. The pall-hearers were the four eldest grandsons, Messrs. C. Gardiner, F. and A. Talbot and J. Lett.
